Hand Hygiene Australia Manual

The HHA Manual has been developed by the National HHA Team and outlines a clear and systematic approach to hand hygiene culture change for Australian health care organisations.

This manual does not aim to provide an in-depth analysis of infection control or be a textbook on infectious diseases. Instead, it provides a practical step-by-step guide to implementing and sustaining the hand hygiene culture-change in your hospital and how to participate in the NHHI.

The evidence supporting Hand Hygiene in healthcare is constantly evolving, and as a result this document is regularly updated. If printed it may not represent the most accurate up to date version.
